Destin 2013

I truly believe that Destin, Florida is a little slice of heaven on earth.  At the very least, it's got the nicest beaches in North America.  That's not even up for debate.  The pearly white sands, crystal clear blue/green water, and some of the most beautiful sunsets on God's green earth adds up to a little slice of perfection.

How can it get any better?  How 'bout the fact that it's 4 hours on the dot from New Orleans.  That's the perfect weekend getaway.  So, as these pictures prove, we've spent 2 of the last 3 weekends in Destin.  The first weekend was spent with Riki's family at their condo, and this past weekend with my two long lost friends and their significant others.  It's definitely not a bad way to spend a summer.

I have to warn you...when you're a photographer and you bring a camera to the beach, everyone wants their picture taken.  A lot of glamour shots to follow...

And, I don't always listen to country music, but when I do, it's Eric Church on the beach.  Enjoy.

So we left the beach with some ominous looking clouds, only to return 2 weeks later to this:

The craziest storm front I've ever seen, no joke.

Waiting it out...

But, as usual, bad weather makes for the best sunsets.

King of his Ranch.

The little town of Seaside.  About as "perfect" as you can get.

Seaside Chapel...reminds me of Beetlejuice for some reason.

Small, yet fully functional.

And here we go with the glamour shots...

Sarah was having a bit too much fun with the light.

Proof to our future kids that we were once young.

  1. Love the photographs and feel like I have taken a very worthwhile vacation sitting right at my computer desk in Cheraw, SC. Wonderful beach scenes, great glamor shots of good looking folks and fantastic memories.
