What an amazing time we live in, where you can just jump on a plane and a few hours later be hiking some of the most majestic mountains in the world. We had just three days in Colorado, but even that was worth it. I was in town to shoot a wedding, so getting paid to be there was even better. We were staying in Edwards, just a stone's throw from Vail. We were put up by my friend and fellow photographer Townsend, who I want to thank personally for double booking that weekend. This trip wouldn't have happened without him.
It was freezing...in August. It even snowed in the town of Leadville (@10,000 feet) the first night we got there. Even the natives were a bit chilly, saying this was certainly early for snow. It's getting crazy out there.
We managed to pack in the perfect amount of activities and just the right amount of leisure time. We explored some old mountain towns, made some great pizza, hiked the beautiful Shrine Ridge trail, late night jammed, and, of course, shot an amazing wedding. Can't wait to share those photos in another post. But enough talking, enjoy the photos.
Of course, I shot a wedding too, but that is another post for another time. Cheers!
