Another glorious North Carolina weekend

It's no secret that North Carolina is one of my favorite places on earth.  It quickly becomes the favorite of all who come here, and for good reason.  For one, this August was the hottest I've ever witnessed up on the mountain - a crisp 72 degrees.  That's in ferinheight.  Two, you don't get cell service at our house.  It's glorious.  Three, my mom has successfully recruited multiple new members into our neighborhood, the latest being our lifelong friends, the Palmers.  So, with all of my best friends having spread out all over the US since college, North Carolina has become our reunion spot (and a retirement community of sorts).  For two years running, Labor Day has served as a glorious get away filled with old friends and lots of booze.  And, I should mention, by this time next year we'll have a little addition to the group.  Things are a changin'.  I guess this is growing up.

Hit play and scroll away.

Nothing like a good thunder storm in the mountains.

Secret Falls...this is what NC is all about.

Can you spot the snake?

Until next time...
