I really enjoyed the book (along with the rest of the world), but in the capable hands of David Fincher the movie might be even better. This is the guy who brought you Se7en, Fight Club, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Social Network...among others. He is one of the best filmmakers around, and I would trust him with anything. He is a perfectionist, and that's a good thing.
They are doing a brilliant job of marketing this movie. They've even made a fake Hard Copy episode of the actually kidnapping of Harriet Vanger, with authentic commercials from the period and complete with all the tracking issues of an old VHS copy. Brilliant. Check that out here.
If you're a fan of the book and you've seen all the teaser trailers, you know its gonna be a good one. But they've just released an 8-minute trailer that makes you want to see it even more. Check it out.
