Well, another year and another red dress. I actually borrowed this one from my girlfriend's mom. Is that weird? Probably, but it hardly matters. You're parading around the streets of New Orleans in a dress... with 10,000 other men. You got your gays, straights, body builders, priests, tourists, people who have traveled from all over the country, men of every background and ethnicity. It's really turned into a hell of an event, if that's what you want to call it. I mean, it does have a purpose if you're one of the 14 people who actually runs it. The other 9,986 just want to wear a red dress and drink. People use it as just another excuse to out dress and compete with complete strangers. Some people are wearing some pretty elaborate stuff. That's ultimately why I love the place so much, it's about the characters.

Saw these chaps and remember taking their picture last year. They drive in every year from Virgina (?) to partake in the chaos...very cool people.

The last picture I took before my camera fell to the floor, breaking my lens. Luckily it was my cheapest 50mm and it was going to be my next upgrade anyway. It's pretty fascinating to see the construction of even the cheapest lens. I'll take pictures.
